Position Description:

CPA Ontario is currently in search of a Quality Assurance Analyst for our Annual Membership Dues initiative (AMD) who will be responsible for performing quality assurance testing on various IT projects.

***Please note that this is a contract position from January 2018 until June 29, 2018***


Major Responsibilities:

  • Write test cases based on business requirements documents
  • Understand the business process
  • Run tests, document results and work with developers to re-test – tests may consist of slight variations on what is input into fields or selected, for example, numeric in text fields or text in numeric fields
  • Work with/educate UAT business unit testers with the goal of reducing the time they need to allocate to testing 
  • Checking data extracts for correctness

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of quality assurance testing is required, preferably with exposure to software testing methodology
  • Previous experience or familiarity/exposure to CRM, iMIS and Microsoft Dynamics GP is highly preferred, as well as experience with data feeds between these systems
  • Previous experience in a member-focused organization/environment is an asset
  • Very thorough with proven attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand business processes is required
  • Methodical approach with creative problem solving and planning skills is required
  • Ability to remain focused and motivated while executing repetitive task is required
